I'm a three-time award-winning graphic designer with 10 years of experience who loves taking on new projects and clients. Want to work together? Here's a little bit about me...
After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from VCU School of the Arts in 2008, I spent several years working in ad agencies and design firms on the East Coast. From there, I worked as an art director for a real-estate consulting firm, heading up several quarterly publications as well as updating and maintaining their brand and raising its awareness in the real estate community. This included creating all publications, ads, e-blasts, Powerpoint slideshows, website updates, and any other print and electronic marketing materials as needed for events and campaigns. After that, I managed high-volume production design and QA for the UX design department of a major software utility company, working with over 95 large-scale utility clients around the world. This included print/web marketing modules, custom Home Energy Reports, web platform materials, customer welcome letters & inserts, door hangers, postcards, posters, stickers, envelopes, etc.
My next role was as a senior graphic designer and production manager at a major association. I designed several sections of the association magazine, as well as designed many other internal projects for web and social media many other internal projects for web and social media. While the majority of my role was being a flexible designer for the organization, I was also responsible for the production of the magazine, which had a print circulation of over 250,000. This included working closely with the vendor to make monthly paper orders and estimates, track billing, working closely with the ad coordinator and the editorial team to layout the book, and overseeing/ordering any add-ons such as bind-ins, die-cuts, etc. Having skills in both design and production management has given me the ability to visualize the entire life cycle of a design project. This has given me a greater idea of the scope of work from conception to completion.
